To blog readers: Soo.. the very owner of this blog had her birthday last week. This is the first birthday she has as my wife. Last year I am sure I succeeded in giving her a good birthday gift: a surprise morning visit to her office with 10 white roses and a simple yet very-expensive -looking silver necklace. So her birthday this year was tough for me. I decided not to be too ambitious, which means just matching what I gave her last year (plus, few weeks ago she lost the necklace!): a necklace and flowers. Luckily she wanted the same, but … with a love letter as well (argh, I must admit the later was the hardest item or me). With help of my best friend, I found this nice necklace in a mall. It is a bit over my budget, but I guess she deserves it (Am I sweet or what?).
As for the flowers, I decided to make paper flowers. I had found several tutorial on origami flower online and after trying few types of flower, I chose this 5-petal flower to decorate the love letter which –at that time- I had not written yet. And with help of my colleagues and the origami website I made her paper flowers from original Japanese origami papers I have bought during my work trip in Japan. Why paper flowers? Because I do not want to send her a bouquet of flowers from a florist. I think florist bouquet is too much. I wanted to buy them myself, meaning going to this flower market I know not too far from my office and give them to her myself. Since I know I would not have time to do it, then paper flower it is (temporarily). Of course, I eventually bought her the real bouquet of flowers and gave it to her myself.
To blog owner: I love you and happy birthday!!
