As someone who spent her entire life living in tropical country, I was really excited when I finally see (and touch) snow for the very first time. On my last trip to Japan, we took one day tour to Mount Fuji and Hakone Island which include the famous bullet train (shinkansen) ride on our way back to the city. Mount Fuji was a great backdrop for my first snow experience and the weather that day couldn’t be more perfect. It was sunny bright day and not too cold for a place that located somewhere near the mountain’s top.
The scene was picturesque and we truly had a great time during the tour! If you have a full day available in Tokyo, I would definitely recommend this tour. There are plenty tour operator that provide this program. Good luck!
