There is always something enchanting about place of worships. It feels calm, peace and pure. Although I’m not a christian, nor catholic, I could feel the sacred vibe around Notre Dame from the moment I entered it.
This church was the first place we visited during our Paris tour. We were lucky that the line was not that long at the time (I really couldn’t imagine Paris during holiday season!). We walked in and we were mesmerized.
Due to the recent incident in Paris, it really breaks my heart to watch people use religion as a justification for violent acts. It’s nothing new though – there has been many wars and conflicts arose from religion for centuries. As ancient as it is, it turns out that some people are still doing it. My heart goes to all the victims, not only in Paris, but also victims in the rest of the world throughout the history of mankind.
